What is available today

This guide describes software that is being built in stages. This page says plainly what a user can do now, what is part-built, and what is still to come — so that nobody plans a September around a screen that is not there yet.

Last reviewed: September 2026.

Area What works
Academic calendar Years, the school week, terms, holidays, periods. Activating and closing a year, with everything the close settles.
School structure Grades with the promotion chain, sections with capacity and gender, subjects and their grades, departments, houses, classrooms.
Rules and policies Document types, conditional document requirements, nationality policies including VAT treatment.
Admissions The full pipeline, the board, interview slots on the interviewer's calendar, acceptance, waitlist with automatic promotion, fee quotation, conversion into a student and an enrollment.
Student records Student files, guardians with payer and contact roles, emergency contacts, document checklists, statuses, permanent admission numbers.
Enrollment The full lifecycle, the capacity check, the gender check, the document gate, and the fee account raised on confirmation.
Staff Staff files with the school-specific details, teaching assignments per year, performance reviews with their three steps, previous experience, staff documents.
Fees Fee types, fee structures, student fee accounts with the six columns, invoicing for the year or by installment, payments and voucher numbers, scholarships and discounts, parent quotations, VAT by nationality.
Attendance The daily or period-by-period register, the taking screen defaulting to Present, corrections in the same screen, all six statuses, leave requests that mark the register on approval.
Transport Buses, routes, stops, drivers, bus attendants, seat allocation with its three capacity limits, the bus and driver document file, the bus and driver register screen.

Three things happen on their own, overnight, with nobody pressing anything:

  • a seat released outside the admissions office is offered to the longest-waiting application;
  • fee accounts settled by a payment reconciled in the accounting screens are marked Paid;
  • sent quotations past their validity date are marked Expired.

Area What is there What is missing
Arabic and right-to-left Every label and message is translatable, and Arabic names are held where a school needs them — on children, guardians, staff and fee components The Arabic pass across every screen has not been made yet. Screens today are laid out left to right.
Class teacher scope The class teacher is named on the section, and leave requests route to them A class teacher still sees the whole school's register rather than only their own class. This narrows when the teacher portal arrives.
Document expiry Expiry dates are recorded on every population — children, guardians, staff, drivers, buses — in one place The watch list itself: the 90/60/30/7-day warnings, the escalating alerts, and the one dashboard across all populations
Promotion Children are moved forward by enrolling them into the new year, with capacity and gender checked The promotion run that moves a whole class in one operation, its seven outcomes, and the clearance steps before a transfer certificate
Transport attendance Trip type and direction are recorded per child, so the system knows who to expect on which bus Recording who actually boarded, morning and afternoon, and the alert for a child nobody accounted for

Still to come

All reporting. This is deliberate and it is the largest single item. Every report reads from records that have to settle first, and a report built on a moving schema is a report rebuilt twice. Nothing on this list has been started:

  • Attendance: daily, monthly, per-student and per-class percentages, chronic absence, late-coming
  • Fees: statements, outstanding and aging, payment history, collection forecast, bilingual ZATCA-compliant invoices and receipts, quotation layout
  • Report cards and syllabus coverage
  • The bus and driver register report, and transport attendance
  • The document expiry dashboard
  • The admission funnel
  • The principal's dashboard
  • Transfer certificates, and ID cards for students and staff

How to read a gap on this page

If something the school needs is in the "still to come" list, it is scheduled, not forgotten. If something the school needs is on neither list, say so — that is a gap worth raising rather than working around.
